Rick Dussinger
1951-2012

With great sadness, we acknowledge the passing of our friend and brother reenactor, Rick Dussinger on May 11th. Our condolences to his wife Linda, his family and friends.

The Battle of Antietam, also known as the Battle of Sharpsburg, was fought on September 17, 1862, near Sharpsburg, Maryland, and Antietam Creek, as part of the Maryland Campaign, and was the first major battle in the American Civil War to take place on Northern soil. It was the bloodiest single-day battle in American history, with about 23,000 casualties.

The Sesquicentennial reenactment will be September 14, 15 & 16. Please join us.

Reenactors please join us for this Historic 150th Anniversary of this Battle.

Due to larger than anticipated registrations, the 150th Antietam Reenactment Committee has secured the Legacy Manor Farm as the site of the  September 14, 15 & 16, 2012 event. The Legacy Manor Farm is a historic 400 acre working farm located just 2 miles north of the Antietam Battlefield off of Route 65 (Sharpsburg Pike).
